New Wave ('we', 'our', or 'us') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including: • Account information: name, username, email address, and password when you register • Profile information: bio, location, genre, and profile photo • Content you upload: videos, audio, and other media files • Communications: messages you send to other users or to us • Payment information: purchases (subscriptions and one-time boosts) are processed entirely by the app store you downloaded New Wave from (Google Play Billing on Android, the App Store on iOS) — we do not receive or store your card details • Usage data: how you interact with the app, videos you watch, and ratings you give

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Create and manage your account • Process video uploads and store them securely via Supabase • Process subscription and purchase transactions through Google Play Billing • Show your content to other users and industry professionals • Show you in-app notifications about ratings, followers, and milestones • Improve and personalise the app experience • Comply with legal obligations • Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only: • With verified industry professionals (agents, labels, managers) — but only when your content reaches 1,000 five-star ratings and you have opted in • With service providers who help us run the app: Supabase (database and video storage), RevenueCat (subscription and purchase management via Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS), and Google AdMob (advertising) • When required by law or to protect rights and safety • With your consent

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data, including uploaded videos, is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Your Rights

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of our own; third-party ad networks (Google AdMob) may use their own tracking as described in their respective privacy policies.

8. Children's Privacy

New Wave is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Notifications

New Wave shows in-app notifications for comments, ratings, new followers, shares, streaming-link taps and milestone achievements. You can review them at any time from the notification bell within the app.

Push notifications: if you allow notifications, we store a device notification token linked to your account so we can alert you about activity on your videos (comments, ratings, follows, shares and streaming-link taps). You can turn categories off in Settings > Notifications, or disable notifications in your phone's settings at any time. The token is removed when you sign out.

10. No Royalties Collected or Paid

New Wave is a discovery and rating platform. We do not collect, hold, administer, or pay out any royalties, mechanical fees, or performance income on behalf of any artist. Subscription and purchase revenue collected by New Wave (Pro, Ad-Free, and Boost purchases) compensates New Wave for operating the platform — it is not, and should not be understood as, royalty payment to artists for their music.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your profile, videos, ratings, and all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. You can also request deletion by emailing newwaveadmin1985@gmail.com.
